About the book

In a world where the marketplace is increasingly driven by profit margins and quarterly earnings, there is a growing hunger for something more—something deeper and more meaningful. The global challenges we face today—climate change, social inequality, economic instability—are not merely technical problems; they are moral and spiritual crises. In this context, the need for businesses that are not just sustainable but also spiritually rooted has never been more urgent.

This book, "Faith-Rooted Business: Integrating Spirituality and Sustainability in the Marketplace," is born out of the conviction that the marketplace is a vital arena for spiritual witness and social transformation. It seeks to offer a vision of business that honors God, serves the common good, and stewards creation with care and reverence. As we explore the intersection of faith and commerce, this book invites you to imagine and implement business practices that reflect the heart of God and the ethics of sustainable stewardship.

We live in an age where the consequences of our collective actions are felt globally, from environmental degradation to social inequality. The urgency to rethink how we conduct business cannot be overstated. Traditional business models, driven primarily by profit, have often neglected the well-being of people and the planet. As a result, we see a world increasingly divided and degraded.

The necessity for faith-rooted business is now more critical than ever. Just as Esther was called to act in a time of crisis "for such a time as this," so too are we called to bring our faith into the marketplace to address the crises of our time. This book is an urgent response to the call to integrate faith into business practices that promote sustainability, justice, and compassion.

Faith-rooted businesses can offer a new paradigm, one that is not only profitable but also purposeful. They can lead the way in creating a marketplace that reflects the values of the Kingdom of God, where every person is valued, and creation is cared for as a sacred trust. This book aims to provide the tools, insights, and inspiration needed to make this vision a reality.
